The Government of India’s notification dated 21 November 2025 on the implementation of the new Labour Codes marks a significant milestone in India’s labour law reforms. These reforms aim to streamline and consolidate 29 existing labour legislations into a unified framework covering wages, social security, industrial relations, and workplace conditions.

To help organisations understand the implications and prepare for the transition, the Indo-Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IJCCI) and Grant Thornton Bharat are hosting an informative webinar on New Labour Codes and their impact on Japanese businesses.

The session will cover:

  • Key highlights and structural changes under the Labour Codes.
  • Implications for employers and HR/compliance teams.
  • State-level implementation considerations and practical compliance aspects.
  • Key action points for organisations to ensure readiness for the transition.

The session will be particularly relevant for business leaders, HR professionals, compliance teams, and organisations seeking to understand the evolving labour regulatory landscape
