Having the largest young working population in the world, India has been at the forefront of upgrading skills as per global standards. This is being achieved through significant industry involvement, the aim of which is to enable innovation and create professionals with market ready skills. To further build and re-engineer the talent pool and play a pivotal role in creating a Vibrant India, Grant Thornton Bharat LLP has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the NorthCap University (NCU), with focus on integrating industry specific knowledge into the campus.

Commenting on the current job trends and the need for such a partnership, Vishesh C. Chandiok, CEO, Grant Thornton Bharat said, “There is a substantial divergence between the domains of industry and education. The lack of industry orientation within the education sector and the job readiness disconnect is driving the two domains to join forces in solving real world challenges. Grant Thornton Bharat, being a leading business consulting firm, aims to train industry professionals with the necessary frameworks for standards and quality assurance.”

These two premier Institutions are coming together to educate students and bridge the gap between learning at work site. The courses are designed to upskill the students with knowledge requirements of today's fast paced tech enabled business environments. The curriculum would include new age and relevant courses on cyber technology, IoT, mobile app, data science, AI, ML, big data, cyber security, robotics, drone tech etc.

Throwing light on the intent behind the MoU signing, Shree Parthasarathy, National Managing Partner, Trust & Transformation at Grant Thornton Bharat said, “This Campus Adoption Program focuses on creating a platform that gives students opportunity for immersive learning. This program was incubated with the intent to provide the required knowledge, skills and relevant industry experience to students, that shall help them seamlessly integrate into the professional world.”
