  • Guidelines have been issued to establishments registered in West Bengal for payment of bonus to the employees covered under the Payment of Bonus Act, 1965 and payment of ex-gratia to the employees not covered under the Act by 30 September 2024 on the occasion of Durga Puja of 2024.
  • The Odisha Government has announced a progressive policy granting 180 days of maternity leave to female employees and 15 days of paternity leave to male employees of the state government in case of surrogacy.
  • The EPFO has temporarily relaxed the two-factor authentication requirement. This move is intended to allow employers to log into their accounts and update their mobile numbers to avoid any non-compliance in the future.
