Government of India recently launched Transparent Taxation – Honoring the Honest platform, aimed at easing tax compliance and rewarding honest taxpayers. This includes faceless assessments and appeals and the Taxpayer’s Charter.

Faceless Assessment Scheme will radically change the way in which the tax department and taxpayers interact in the future. The key features of this scheme are zero human intervention, team-based assessments, technical specialisation and dynamic jurisdictions. The radical changes, however, have triggered numerous questions in the minds of the taxpayers.
